WhatsApp Messenger is a free messaging app available for Android and other smartphones. WhatsApp uses your phone's Internet connection (via one of the following networks 2G, 3G, 4G, EDGE, or Wi-Fi depending on the available network) to allow you to message and contact your friends and family members. Use WhatsApp instead of SMS to be able to send and receive messages and calls, and send photos, videos, documents and voice messages
Why use WhatsApp
No fees: WhatsApp uses your phone’s Internet connection (via one of the following networks 2G, 3G, 4G, EDGE, or Wi-Fi when available) to allow you to message and call your friends and family members. * There is no subscription fee to use WhatsApp.
Multimedia: Send and receive photos, videos, documents, and voice messages.
Make free calls: Call your friends and family for free with WhatsApp calls, even if they are in another country. * WhatsApp calls use your phone's internet connection instead of consuming cellular minutes. (Note: There may be charges when calling through the data package. Please check with your telecom company for details. It should be noted that WhatsApp cannot be used to call the emergency numbers.)
Have group chats: You can enjoy group chatting with your contacts, and easily communicate with your friends and family
WhatsApp Web: You can also send and receive WhatsApp messages directly via your computer's internet browser
No fees for international calls: You will not incur additional fees for sending messages via WhatsApp to people residing in other countries. Enjoy chatting with your friends around the world, and avoid paying SMS fees to correspond with people residing in other countries
No need to enter usernames or personal identification numbers (PINs): Why bother to memorize more usernames or personal identification numbers (PINs)? Just like SMS messages, WhatsApp works with your phone number, and it simply uses the contacts in your phone's address book
No need to log in: Your WhatsApp account is always available so that you do not miss any messages. You will never again be confused about whether or not you're signed in or logged out
Fast communication with your contacts: The program uses the address book in your phone to allow you to quickly and easily communicate with your contacts who use WhatsApp; It suffices you to remember usernames that are difficult to remember
Read messages without connecting to the Internet: Even if you don't notice some notifications or turn off your phone, WhatsApp will keep your recent messages until the next time you use the app
And many other advantages: Share your location, exchange contacts, choose the shapes of your screen backgrounds, the sounds of the notifications you receive, and send group messages to several contacts at the same time, in addition to many other features
There may be charges for calling with a data package. Please check with your carrier for details
